Safari Itinerary Summary

Days 1 to 4

Your first stop in Africa is Cape Town – the Mother City!  You will receive a VIP Meet & Greet at Cape Town International Airport and take a Private transfer to Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel.  Cape Cadogan enjoys convenient proximity to the city, the Table Mountain Cableway, as well as the beaches.  Narrow streets lined with original Cape buildings house museums, art galleries, lively sidewalk cafes and acclaimed restaurants.  We can arrange tours for you including a guided tour of the Cape Peninsula. Other highlights of the city include the Kirstenbosch Gardens, a visit to Boulders Beach to see the penguin colony and one day spent in Cape Winelands.

Days 5 to 7

Your safari begins with a private road transfer to the airport to catch your flight into the Kruger National Park. Your destination is the Lion Sands Private Game Reserve in the game rich Sabi Sands area. You will spend 3 nights at River Lodge, a distinctive and personal luxury lodge designed to replicate the feeling of being at home.
Sabi Sand is part of the Greater Kruger eco-system, which makes for a very authentic wildlife experience. Perfect for first timers on safari, game drives are very rewarding and you would hope to tick off the Big 5 (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant) during your stay plus lots of other exciting sightings!

Days 8 to 10

Depart Kruger on a flight to Livingstone, Zambia to continue your African adventure at The Victoria Falls. You will be met and transferred to Tongabezi Lodge on the banks of the Zambezi River. This lodge merges quirky luxury tranquil ambiance and a communion with nature. Delight in island lunches, social, hosted meals or romantic candlelit dinners all served with the attentive care in which Tongabezi prides itself.

The Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, forms part of Livingstone's Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, situated on the upper reaches of the Zambezi River.  Lodge activities include: sunrise and sunset boat trips on the Zambezi, guided canoeing excursion depending on water levels and hippo activity, lunch on a local island with guided walk, fishing, visit to the Victoria Falls on the Zambian Side, game drive to the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, walk in the gorge below the Falls, cultural visit to the Livingstone Museum, a local village excursion or just spend lazy days in the pool.  This is a perfect place to relax before you depart for home.

Day 11

Take a short private road transfer to Livingstone Airport for a flight to Johannesburg to connect with your flight home.

The Cape Cadogan is a stately double-storey Georgian and Victorian building that dates back to the beginning of the 19th century.

It was originally a single story Georgian farmhouse which was ‘Victorianised’ in the later part of the century. The hotel’s public areas have a comfortable lounge with an open fireplace, a garden and pool area, and a library where guests can relax and unwind after a day’s sightseeing.

The granite garden wall still contains the original iron work which derives from the old quarry at the top of Kloof Street. The building was awarded national monument status in late 1984.

There are a wide variety of boutiques, restaurants and bars in the neighbourhood. Cape Cadogan is 10-15 mins from Table Mountain, Clifton Beach and the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. A sense of history where old meets new and blends in a personal and homely manner.
