Safari Itinerary Summary

Days 1 to 3

On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport you will be transferred by road to Zambezi Sands. This tented lodge is located on the banks of the Zambezi River consists of 8 tents each with a private plunge pool for cooling off in the middle of the day.

Zambezi Sands offers a wealth of picturesque game viewing opportunities - whether you choose to drive or walk, experienced guides take great pleasure in introducing you to the camp's pristine and tranquil surroundings. You can even explore the Zambezi River by inflatable canoe or motorised boat. Your stay also includes one free return shuttle to Victoria Falls for those sightseeing trips!

Days 4 to 6

Transfer by road into Hwange National Park. Your destination is Nehimba, set deep inside a private concession, nestled inside the remote northern region of Hwange.
7 spacious guest accommodations are thatched tents built on teak decks, overlooking the magnificent lodge pan – a favoured spot frequented by a variety of wildlife and large numbers of elephants, particularly in the dry season.
No two days are the same at Nehimba and game viewing experiences are tailor-made to our guest’s preferences, including game drives, walking safaris and night game drives on our private concession in search of nocturnal species of wildlife. Whether you choose to track a herd of elephant on foot with your highly trained guide at dawn or spend the afternoon relaxing overlooking the waterhole on the deck by the pool, this wild and unspoilt bush paradise will guarantee you leave with memories to last a lifetime!


Days 7 to 9

Depart by road transfer and The Elephant Express to
Camelthorn Lodge nestled in the cool woodlands on the southern edge of Ngamo’s famous Plains. Here, you will be treated to a truly memorable safari experience, in pure comfort and style. Enjoy al fresco dining under an ancient camelthorn tree, savour your morning coffee in front of a roaring fire, track herds of elephant by foot, and enjoy close up photography from inside camp's look-up blind. This flagship lodge ticks all the boxes for your authentic African safari experience.

Activities include game drives and walks with an experienced guide. If you like, take an all day activity into the park to visit the waterholes and drop fuel and oil, the so called "pump runs". School and village visits can be arranged giving a fascinating experience of a variety of typical daily village activities.

Day 10

Depart Camelthorn by road to Victoria Falls Airport.

To ensure you have an authentic river safari experience, Zambezi Sands will offer fantastic activities which include traditional game viewing drives and walks as well as canoeing, fishing and outdoor dining on the banks of the Zambezi!

Included in the all inclusive rate is: Accommodation, all meals, soft drinks, beers, wines and local spirits, laundry, Camp pick up and drop offs from Victoria Falls Town or Victoria Falls Airport.
