31 July to 2 August 2018

31 July 2018 - You will receive a Complimentary Meet & Greet at Johannesburg Airport and be escorted to meet a connecting South African Airways flight to Lusaka. There you will receive a Complimentary Meet and Greet and be guided through to your connecting Wilderness flight into Kafue National Park where you will spend the next 3 nights in one tent in Shumba Camp, fully inclusive of meals and game viewing activities. Afternoon tea followed by your first evening game drive.
We include a Complimentary Hot Air Balloon Ride over the Busanga Plains (subject to availability).
Shumba Camp is located in the Busanga Plains area of Kafue and considered to be the jewel in the Kafue crown. The Plains are home to hundreds of red lechwe, puku, roan and the diminutive orbit. As well as Lichtenstein's hartebeest, herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo and Defassa waterbuck are often seen. The plains game is a big attraction for predators, including wild dog packs, lone cheetah and lion prides.

We would recommend you get your travel insurance soon after booking. Adequate travel insurance is vital for this trip for three reasons:

  1. These bookings are often taken a year in advance and if anything happens to a member of your party during that year which affects your ability to travel, you would then, be able to claim back any cancellation fees.
  2. You are travelling to wilds of Africa and you want to make sure that if anything unforeseen was to happen whilst on your trip that you are protected.
  3. It is a condition of travelling with Weekend a la Carte that you have a policy in place.

We recommend TAGCONNECT for insurance as they are travel specialists.
