A main lodge and ten stone under thatch chalets are set privately in a magnificent indigenous evergreen garden with stunning views across 3 km of Batoka Gorge that is 200 meters deep.
There are 2 single story Honeymoon suites and 4 single story twin bedded suites; These are 60m2, with thatch roof and natural stone walls, have a veranda overlooking the Gorge, mains electricity with back up generator, overhead fan, mini bar, ensuite lounge, ensuite changing room with basin, bathroom with bath, separate shower, basin and toilet.
There are 4 double story twin bedded suites; These are 70m2, with thatch roof with natural stone walled, upstairs bedroom and have a veranda with excellent gorge views, downstairs changing room that can be converted into kids room, mains electricity with back up generator, bathroom with bath, separate shower, basin and toilet.
The main lodge is an open fronted thatched roof building with a wooden viewing deck at front of the bar, separate lounge with fire place and dining room with gorge views.

Your morning will start with a cup of coffee or tea on your chalet veranda watching the sun rise across the gorge.
After either a continental breakfast or a full english breakfast at the main lodge you will head off for your morning activity which could be a tour of the falls or perhaps a village visit and tour of the school.
Lunch can be back at the lodge followed by a quiet spell and then into town for the afternoon activity which could be shopping in the curio market and then a sundowner cruise on the river.
Return to the lodge for a shower or bath and we recommend you soujourn to the bar deck for a drink before dinner where you can listen to the river in the gorge below.
Gorges Lodge is primarily a Victoria Falls venue and not a wildlife venue but is an exceptional birding destination, in particular because of the raptors.
It can be considered a premier birds of prey destination.
A pair of habituated wild Verreaux’s Eagles frequent the lodge and can be seen daily. Their nest sites are within sight of the lodge.
Peregrine falcons and also Augur buzzards nest within sight of the lodge. Taita falcon occur but are sighted infrequently.
A one kilometer length garden attracts a large variety of other interesting species such as Trumpeter hornbill, Nerina Trogon, Emerald cuckoo.
