Motswiri Camp

Motswiri Camp is located on the banks of the spectacular Selinda Spillway. The camp is small and personal, stylish and comfortable.

The camp is located North West of Maun in the World Famous Selinda Reserve, an area known for its outstanding beauty and remoteness.

Motswiri’s exclusive and personalised riding and walking safaris are based in the remote and beautiful Selinda Reserve on the very fringes of the Okavango Delta in Northern Botswana.

Our safaris are based at Motswiri Camp, with a seasonal bush camp for longer safaris.  The camp is staffed by a team with more than 50 years experience in hosting low impact safaris in Botswana. The camp  meets with the exacting environmental standards and is largely solar powered.

Motswiri prides itself on its personal service, attention to detail and ability to tailor activities to suit individual ambitions and interests.

The riding is simply superb and, with 22 well cared for and well schooled horses in camp, Motswiri has built a reputation for providing some of the finest riding safaris in Africa.

As well as riding, walking and boating safaris are offered.

Meru style tents.

The tents all have timbered floors and verandas with excellent views and are accessed by paths running behind them to maximise privacy.

All have open air ensuite facilities overlooking the flood plain.

Tastefully and elegantly appointed.

Safari Experience

An early morning wake up starts the day with a quick, hearty breakfast of porridge/cereal, muffins, fruit, tea or coffee.  Then you head out on your activity with your guide and tracker.

Activities offered here are  horse riding, mokoro trips, nature walks,  motor boat, fishing (seasonal) and game drives.  Morning activities end around 11am, making way for brunch.

Then it’s relaxation time in camp, making use of the main areas or relaxing in your own tent.  Tea is served around 3.30pm with an array of savoury and sweet food, the afternoon activity then begins.

Return to camp about 7.30-8.00pm for dinner.  Communal dining gives the opportunity to talk to your guide and other guests. After dinner enjoy a coffee or liqueur by the fire before bed.

Having said that activity times and meal times are flexible, we work around you – this is your safari!
